SHIELDFLARE GAME IS CURRENTLY UNDER DEVELOPMENT
A new layer of game server security

Your servers.
Our network.

ShieldFlare Game is being built to bring game server protection, infrastructure management and network visibility into one dedicated platform. Connect your servers, manage your resources and gain more control over the traffic reaching your infrastructure.

The platform is not publicly available yet. Features described here represent the intended platform capabilities.

Platform capabilities

Everything around your game servers.

The goal is to give server owners a single place to manage protected IP addresses, infrastructure, traffic policies and server visibility, without having to piece together multiple disconnected tools.

DDoS protection

Route supported game traffic through the ShieldFlare edge. The platform is being designed around protection workflows intended to help keep legitimate players connected during unwanted traffic events.

Network security

Node management

Organise the machines that run your game servers. A central panel is intended to make it easier to register nodes, review their state and associate game services with the correct infrastructure.

Infrastructure

Dedicated IP resources

Manage dedicated IP addresses through a central allocation system. The intended lifecycle covers available, reserved, active and released resources, helping keep assignments organised.

IP management

Live infrastructure metrics

Planned monitoring includes bandwidth usage, CPU and memory consumption, active connections and node availability, giving operators better visibility into their infrastructure.

Monitoring

Game Agent

A lightweight agent is planned for customer nodes. It is intended to communicate outbound with the platform, report node metrics and support server management without requiring arbitrary inbound management ports.

Node connectivity

Game server overview

Keep track of game services, assigned ports, associated nodes and connection details from one dashboard instead of maintaining a separate overview for each machine.

Central dashboard

Port and service routing

The planned architecture supports multiple game services on a node, with explicit port assignments and forwarding rules designed around each service's network requirements.

Traffic routing

Game-specific controls

Planned controls include per-server protection thresholds, configurable block durations, geographic restrictions, trusted IP addresses and custom server MOTD options where supported.

Custom policies

IP and firewall controls

Manage blocked addresses, trusted sources and manual unblock actions through a central interface. The objective is to make security policy easier to inspect and maintain.

Access control

Attack history and events

A central history is planned for reviewing security events and attack activity. Future notifications may include email, push notifications and Discord webhooks.

Visibility and alerts

Credits and service limits

The intended initial model integrates with ShieldFlare credits. Account usage and service limits are planned to be visible alongside the resources they apply to.

Account management

Built to expand

The longer-term direction includes additional edge locations, multi-node failover, historical analytics, API access and tools for hosting providers and resellers.

Future capabilities
Security by design

More control over what reaches your servers.

Game infrastructure has different requirements from a standard website. Protocols, ports, connection patterns and legitimate player traffic all matter. ShieldFlare Game is being designed with those requirements in mind.

The goal is to bring network protection and operational controls closer together, so server owners can manage their services without losing sight of the traffic and infrastructure behind them.

  • ✓Dedicated resource management
Keep IP assignments and game service configuration organised.
  • ✓Explicit access controls
Plan trusted IP lists, blocked address management and service-level policies.
  • ✓Node-aware monitoring
Connect infrastructure health with the services running on each node.
  • ✓Isolated account access
Design the platform around authenticated access, unique agent credentials and tenant separation.

Designed for operators

From one node to a managed network.

The platform is intended to support a practical workflow for game communities, independent server owners and hosting providers that need a clearer view of their protected infrastructure.

One panel for your infrastructure

View registered nodes, associated game servers, connection information and allocated IP resources from a central management interface.

Agent-based node connectivity

The planned Game Agent will establish an outbound connection to the platform. This is intended to simplify management when a node should not expose additional inbound management ports.

Account integration

The intended experience uses existing ShieldFlare accounts for sign-in, with platform-specific permissions and access to the relevant game services.

Configurable service policies

Keep game-specific traffic settings, access rules and service assignments together. The intention is to make changes easier to track and manage as infrastructure grows.

Intended workflow

How the platform is designed to fit together.

A simple operating model connects the control panel, customer infrastructure and the ShieldFlare edge.

01

Manage your account

Sign in through the planned ShieldFlare account integration and access the Game control panel.

02

Connect a node

Register a supported machine and connect it through the planned Game Agent workflow.

03

Configure game services

Associate IP resources, ports and game server settings with the relevant node.

04

Monitor and manage

Use the intended dashboard to review infrastructure metrics, service configuration and security events.

Part of the ShieldFlare ecosystem

One ecosystem. Dedicated game infrastructure.

ShieldFlare Game is intended to build on the wider ShieldFlare ecosystem, including account integration, IP resource management and shared edge infrastructure. Game-specific management will have its own dedicated interface and backend, designed around the requirements of game server operators.

ShieldFlare
Frequently asked questions

Before ShieldFlare Game launches.

A few details about the current status and the intended direction of the platform.

Why is this page showing?
ShieldFlare Game is currently under development. This page explains the intended platform and its planned capabilities while the main application is being prepared.
Can I create an account or add a game server right now?
The public platform is not available yet. Account integration, node registration and game server management are part of the intended experience. This page does not provide access to those functions.
Which games will be supported?
The platform is being designed for game server use cases, with routing and protection requirements varying by game and protocol. Specific supported games and protocols will need to be confirmed before launch.
Will I need to open management ports on my server?
The planned Game Agent is designed to initiate an outbound connection to the platform, reducing the need to expose additional inbound management ports. Actual requirements will depend on the final agent and network configuration.
Will ShieldFlare Game use my ShieldFlare account?
Integration with existing ShieldFlare accounts is part of the intended design. The final sign-in and permission model will be confirmed when the platform becomes available.
Will the platform have live metrics and attack history?
Node metrics, service visibility and security event history are planned capabilities. The visual examples on this page are illustrative and are not live telemetry.
When will ShieldFlare Game launch?
A public launch date has not been announced on this page. Follow ShieldFlare's official website for updates when more information becomes available.
